Youtube is making some pretty changes to the user interface for its desktop users. The changes is now available as an open beta on the desktop, before it can officially go live.
Now, YouTube on Desktop is based on Google’s “Material Design” and would get rid of any distracting elements which reduces the browsing and watching experience of the user. The new design brings “Dark Mode” which should make videos pop out more. Google says it is using a framework called Polymer for the new YouTube design. it also brings infinite scrolling.
If you also want to opt in for the Youtube’s Material Design Preview, head to Youtube.com/new. Well, if you happen to not like the new design, you can revert back by hitting “Revert Classic Youtube” under your accounts menu.
